The Optimist Creed

Happy Self-Love Saturday, Today I want to share with you is The Optimist Creed. I am not sure who gave this creed to me, but I remember receiving it when I was either 9 or 10 years old. I remembered reading it a couple of times as a child, before discarding it. Back in late August, I was doing some organizing and found The Optimist Creed. I wonder why I had not taken this creed seriously as a child because it would helped me through so many challenge as a child, teenager, and young adult. Nevertheless, for the almost the past two months I have read this creed daily before I leaving the house and it has empowered me to think positively about life no matter what obstacles I may face throughout my day. I pray that Creed will help you do the same.

Promise Yourself

To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.

To talk, health, happiness, and prosperity to every person you meet.

To make all your friends feel that there is something in them.

To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.

To think only of the best, to work only for the best and expect only the best.

To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.

To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.

To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile.

To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others.

To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.
