This is a disease that effects 1 out of 1 million. This endocrine disorder is rare but relentless and also caused another illness from having the disease called Hidradenitis Suppurativa. My name is Erica Brown and I have had over 17 different surgeries for the two illnesses and yet I still push to help my community because I believe the power of recovery comes from helping others. Knowing that others are relying on you makes the fight and the will to live that much more important and necessary. One of my favorite quotes is ” My misery birth my Ministry”. Since being sick I have started numerous organizations and business to further not just me but my community. I believe it is our duty when God has given us a second chance at life to reach back and help someone else.
