NMNJ Artist of the Week: V-NE$$ USL October 4, 2015 Artist of the Week, USL StoriesWith determination, the love of real lyricism and a strong team V-NE$$ is able to set herself apart from the rest of the competition. Originally hailing from Jamaica Vanessa Logan aka V Ne$$ came to America at an early age. V NE$$ has been influenced by music since a young age. Listening to everything from reggae artists such as Bob Marley to Hip hop artists such as Nas, Mc Lyte, and Queen Latifah. Living in the Northend of Hartford V NE$$ fell in love with rap and from the start she honed her craft through the years between battling and recording and often times taking on the best emcees Connecticut had to offer. V NE$$ has released many projects including the mixtape “Can You Hear Me Now” and 2012’s “Both Ways” mixtape collaboration with fellow Connecticut artist Snacks (Lite Night Snacks). She’s also been featured on various mixtapes including tapes hosted by Coast to Coast mixtapes and she was recently just featured on DJ Meechie’s “Fresh Faces 4” She’s also performed at many showcases and concerts throughout the tri-state area, and V NE$$ also opened up for Lil Kim at the Hippodrome in Springfield as well. V NE$$ is continuing to make music for everyone to feel and with this new project her experiences and growth in music and life will be shown.
