The program, “A Musical Parade,” will take the audience through a century of music, celebrating composers Irving Berlin, George Gershwin, Jerome Kern, and Richard Rodgers. The cabaret salutes the 50th anniversary of Broadway’s Hello Dolly, Funny Girl, and Fiddler on the Roof, and the finale will recognize contemporary Tony Award composers Jason Robert Brown and Adam Guettel.The cabaret marks the fifth appearance of Oasis Players at JHMOMC! The event is produced and directed by Robert Weinstein, with music direction provided by Justin Ryan who is also on keyboards. Reservations are recommended.Museum Offers A Children’s Craft Program to Celebrate HanukkahThe Jewish Heritage Museum of Monmouth County will present A Children’s Craft Program to Celebrate Hanukkah, onThursday, November 20, 2014, from 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM at Around the Corner Art Center, 290 Mounts Corner Drive, Freehold, NJ. Around the Corner Art Center is located next to the Museum in the Mounts Corner Shopping Center. This is the third year that a Hanukkah craft project is being offered by the Museum.During the program, which is subsidized by the Museum’s Druin Education Fund, children ages 4 and up will be guided by the staff at the Art Center to decorate either an original ceramic Menorah for Hanukkah or a ceramic Hanukkah platter. Parents are encouraged to assist their child with the project. After completion that day, the piece will be dried and fired, and returned to the Museum for pickup the following week.The cost is $10.00 for each child, includes all supplies needed and is non-refundable. Reservations are required in advance so that sufficient supplies are available.
