Listed are easy recipes you can make at home whether if you have dry to oily skin, short to long hair or natural or relaxed coils. Supple Skin


Our skin needs to be protected from both the inside out. What natural ingredients are great for the winter?

Dry Skin? Avocado, Oatmeal, Coconut Oil, Grape-seed Oil

Oily/ Combination Skin? Carrots, Honey, Oatmeal, Coconut Oil, Papaya and Apricot

I love oils because they not only moisturize your skin but they offer healing properties to skin problems such as itchy scalp, dandruff, acne, rash, and callus. Popular oils to have on hand to make any homemade recipes are coconut oil, olive oil, jojoba oil, grape-seed oil and Shea butter. Here are some easy oil based skin recipes to combat dry winter skin.

a. Oily Skin Remedy



  • 1 Avocado (Mashed)
  • 1/2 Tsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 Egg White


  1. Combine all ingredients in a medium sized bowl and make a paste.
  2. Apply to affected area and let sit till dry.
  3. Once dry, rinse with cold water and you should see results.


b. Dry Skin


  • ½ very ripe, soft avocado
  • ¼ cup honey


Mash the avocado in a bowl, then stir in honey.
Apply to skin and leave for 10 minutes.
Rinse face with a cool washcloth.
