There’s a price you have to pay to make it in the rap game, and a path you must conquer to leave your mark as one of the greatest. Price, an upcoming hip-hop artist hailing from Toronto, is a representation of that very hustle to make it to the top. With a keen ear for production and a lyrical repertoire that will astonish underground rap kings to mainstream tycoons, Price’s sound is guaranteed to catch the attention of hip-hop lovers across the globe.

Having already built an impressive resume through his soccer career, Price is not new to the art of perfecting his craft. Born Kennedy Owusu-Ansah July 20th 1989, it wasn’t long before Price recognized the importance of dreaming big. At only 16-years-old Price joined Canada’s national soccer team to play in the Under-20 World Cup. He then moved to Germany where he has continued his professional soccer career.

Brining his love for hip-hop over to Europe Price further developed his skills as a hip-hop artist. Gaining musical influence throughout his travels Price has customized a sound that is entirely his own. Street rap with an intellectual flare, Price is undoubtedly what hip-hop has been missing.

As co-founder of the Dot Boys Movement alongside Sir Gabe, Price released his début mixtape Lite Work in late 2011, gaining an instant international buzz for such smash hits as “Classic,” “Ear To The Streets” and “Everywhere We Go.” From club bangers to acoustic vibes, Price consciously delivers a relatable message through each of his songs.

Looking up to such influential artists as Eminem, Nas and Big L, Price hopes to influence his generation with timeless hip-hop that won’t only compel you to dance, but will provoke you to think. From an upbringing that forced independence, to a mindset that guaranteed success, Price invites you to follow his journey to superstardom.

“Why not follow your dreams and over-achieve? Playing soccer I thought – why not be professional? Doing music I think – why not be the best?” – Price
