Hi Loves!

I have missed posting for you all. Just wanted to fill all of you in. I’ve been quite sick for a few weeks now and have just started to feel a bit better. I am totally bummed about the Halloween post (def saving that one for next year!) But, while I was on Hiatus (that’s what I’m calling it) I had a lot of time (mostly sick in bed lol) to think about fashion, our bodies, and how being sick affects our fashion.

It was required of me to maintain “bed rest” for 72 hrs, now most of us who have to work to make a living know how difficult that could be, so unfortunately I could only do bed rest for 24 of the 72 hours. On my first day back to work, I had two meetings that I needed to attend. The rest of the week I had many items from meetings, to interpreting to evaluations scheduled! I had to look professional though I felt as if I was dying, and I was swollen and puffy. What to do? I compiled a few pictures of some dresses and other items that I currently own that I was able to wear! Not only did I feel super Comfy!! I was complimented on these outfits, hair, and overall appearance (make up helped a bit), and I was even told on two different days that I looked thin, (not being able to eat thanks to being sick I did lose 2 lbs) but I think that being comfortable, though miserable, and wearing dresses and other items that flattered my figure helped.

I added Black knee length Boots and added a  black wrap  sweater. Dress from Target also on Sale.

It is super easy to just say eh, forget about it, I feel miserable, I don’t care what I look like, but your outfit is a representation of you and you can’t where jammies to work (though I def CONSIDERED IT!!) and if you can, contact me I want your job lol.

Now just a few things to remember as Flu/Cold season is upon us!

  1. Wash your Hands!
    1. Cough/ Sneeze into your elbow.
    2. Use antibacterial or hand sanitizer (ALWAYS)
    3. Drink tons of vitamin C (most vitamins are water soluble so you’ll dispose of the excess through your urine)
    4. Drink tons of fluids (finding veins is difficult when your dehydrated)
    5. Don’t wait until it’s too late.
      1. I ended up in the ER because I thought being sick for a week was “normal”
    6. REST! Katie said it right! Your Body is Your Temple and we need to take care of it!

Hopefully I’ll be in full commission for the next post! Until then Be well and Take care.

XOXO Jacky O!
